If you do well in this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify the major conflicts within and among Latin American nations in the 19th century
  • Compare the military regimes of Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile
  • List the similarities and differences between popular leaders in the 20th century
  • Identify the causes and outcomes of major revolutions in Mexico, Bolivia and Cuba.
