Software: You will also need the following software to complete this course:

  • Windows 10
  • Office 2016 Professional Edition. Make sure you have access to the professional version of Office 2016. The standard version does not include Access. NVCC students can get the free cloud version of Office (Office 365). See https://www.nvcc.edu/ithd/students/software.html

MAC Users: This course is set-up for PC Users.  However, MAC users can still take the course with the following caveats.  The Office text is specific to Office 2016 for the PC.  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for the MAC are compatible with Office 2016 for the PC.  However, Office for the MAC does not include Access. You will have to use a PC to complete the Access assignment.  Also, all exams must be taken in a campus testing center (unless proctor arrangements have been made) and Exams 3 and 4 will be taken on PC computers in the testing center using Office 2016.
