Task 1- Introducing yourself - 50 points
Write a page or two introducing yourself to me and to the other students in the course. Tell us who you are, why you are interested in taking the course, your experiences with literature, with different cultures, with the Internet, and anything else you think is relevant. If you foresee any problems with the course, please explain what you think they may be.
Let's get to know one another in this way, so that we can work together more comfortably.
I suggest that you write your Introduction on your word
processor and then start a copy/paste process. Go to Blackboard, select Communications and then select Discussion Board. Paste your Introduction on the Introductions forum.
Click on the My
Schedule Button to see the assignments for each Unit and when they will be due (based on your individual enrollment date). This will help you to plan your Activities for Unit 1.
Since Unit 1 is based on reading the Iliad, even if
you get the book late, you can find online versions. Here is
one place you can find the Iliad:

However, you cannot
get The Trojan War book as an etext, so order it as soon as
you enroll in the course.
