Task 2 : plan ahead to acquire books you want to read
Many of the ancient texts are available on the WWW, but most of the more modern ones are not. You need to decide soon on the text(s) you will need to acquire, if any.
A modern Troy book or play is required reading for Unit 4, so look through these two Areas:
There are a variety of novels, plays and non-fiction books about Troy listed in both Areas and they range from feminist novels to science fiction and satire. Some selections are on the main page links; others are in the various lists and bibliographies and do not have Activity questions. If you select a book that does not have an Activity question, you will need to make up your own Activity question, but by the end of the course, you should be able to do that. Please send me your question before you begin working on it, so I can let you know if it will be acceptable.
Select the book(s) you intend to work with.
It is possible to get all your reading materials online, or you may have to buy some, depending on your choices of Activities.
See the list of Online Booksellers for places to look for books on the WWW. Since many popular books go out of print, you can also try the online used booksellers or your local used book store for the modern Troy book of your choice.
