SDV 100 / BUS 100 : College Success Skills / Introduction to Business
Professors: Lori Johnson and Terry Brady

General Information

Learning community is one of the best strategies for improving student success. One type of the learning community is linked courses. The linking of SDV 100 and BUS 100 is one such learning community. Knowledge, skills and insight gained in one course will be used in the other course. Students will be working with the same group members for both courses and will have an opportunity to build relationships and strengthen communication skills while realizing the relationships of the information provided in the two courses. Ultimately, the students will be able to apply this experience and understanding throughout their educational endeavors.

Exams

There are proctored exams in both courses. You are expected to take your examinations at one of the NVCC campus Testing Centers. Be sure to allow enough time to complete your exam before the Testing Center closes; Testing Centers have specific policies relating to the administration of ELI exams. You will need to take a photo ID, your NovaConnect empl ID number, and the appropriate Exam Pass when you go to the Testing Center.

For Testing Center locations, hours of operation and policies, click here.

For information on taking exams outside of the metropolitan area, click here.
