This course presents application to circuits measurements, including transient and steady-state response of simple networks with laboratory applications of laws and theories of circuits plus measurement of AC quantities.

Prerequisite: EGR 252 Basic Electric Circuits II

This course requires you to attend an on-campus lab session to introduce actual components of Electrical Engineering Circuits and to familiarize you with the software that you will use in your lab experiments. If you do well in this course, you will be able to:

• understand the principles and operation of laboratory instruments such as VOM, electronic voltmeters, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, counter, wave generators, and power supplies.

Your course grade will be determined by the exams and experiments, according to the following points:

There are two proctored exams in this course. Your grade is based on your reports and calculations, on the experiments, and the two exams.

You are expected to take your examinations at one of the NVCC campus Testing Centers. Be sure to allow enough time to complete your exam before the Testing Center closes; Testing Centers have specific policies relating to the administration of ELI exams. You will need to take a photo ID, your NovaConnect empl ID number, and the appropriate Exam Pass when you go to the Testing Center.
