HLT 110: Personal & Community Health (3 Credits)
Overview

HLT 110 is the study of personal and community health and how they relate to a healthy society. In this course we will combine reading and learning with actual health promotion activities. You will be given an opportunity to learn about leading a healthy lifestyle and to actively engage in making positive changes to your personal wellness. I hope you are ready to begin your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

HLT 110 is a learning community.  In other words, we all share in the process.  Learning will occur as you complete the assignments I have provided, and also as you interact with your classmates through a variety of structured and unstructured opportunities.

Entry Level Competencies: Students should have an expressed interest in health and be able to read and express themselves orally and in writing.
