PLS 242 International Relations II (3 Credits)
Overview

Major topics in this course include the historical background of the 20th century international system, the contemporary global system, actors and power, international cooperation, economics, flash points, chronic problems, human rights, and future implications. It is an introduction to the complexities of the international system and international policies. It is intended that students evaluate foreign policies of major actors in the world community with an emphasis on the United States’ role in contemporary world affairs.. 

NOTE: This course requires completing assignments on a fixed weekly schedule with possible midweek deadlines.
