|
Overview |
|
This course Life Span Human Development II is designed to study development from adolescence through late adulthood, with particular emphasis on how
individuals can fulfill their potential at each stage of the life cycle. Biosocial
development considers physical changes that occur and how people can improve
their health at every age. Cognitive development examines the research related to
intelligence, memory, intellectual growth, problem-solving, and the emergence of
wisdom. Strategies for maintaining and enhancing cognitive potential are
stressed. Psychosocial development studies identity formation, intimate
relationships and marriage, parenting and grandparenting, and personality
throughout the adult years. Issues related to dying and death are also considered. |
