GRADES

Biology 101 consists of both a lecture portion (worth 650 points) and a laboratory portion (worth 325 points).  Thus, your  grade will be calculated on the basis of 975 points.  Below is a break down of how the 975 points may be earned.  After you have read this page, print out a copy of the student record  sheet for keeping track of your grades.  I will use this same form to keep a record of the points you earn.

LECTURE GRADE
Introductory Letter: 20 Points
Two Internet Projects: 50 Points
4 LRC Exams: 350 Points  [ Exam 1 - 90 points, Exam 2 - 80 points, Exam 3 - 80  points and Exam 5 - 100 points]
These proctored, closed book exams may be taken in any of the NVCC Campus Testing Centers. A photo ID and exam pass are required for exams taken in a testing center. Before you go be SURE to read about the testing center policies and hours.

LABORATORY GRADE

Course Grade:

A = 975 - 850 points or 90-100%

B = 750-849 or 80 - 89%

C = 650 - 749 points or 70-79%

D = 550 - 649 or 60-69%

F = Less than 550 points or below 60%
