Quiché Optional Paragraph Reading

There is a translation of the Popol Vuh, the sacred book of the Quiché who inhabited Central America in the area of present-day Guatemala in the fifteenth century, available at www.sacred-texts.com/nam/pvuheng.htm.  For this optional paragraph assignment, I do not want you to read the Popol Vuh itself--that is an extra credit option for this unit--what I want you to read is the Introduction to the Popol Vuh

Sometimes that link doesn't work.  In that case, you might have to search elsewhere for information.  Try, www.crystalinks.com/popolvuh.html; www.newberry.org/collections/PopolVuh.html; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popol_Vuh

Here are links to other versions of the Popol Vuh:  http://www.jaguar-sun.com/popolvuh.html and a google books. There is a new website, sponsored by Ohio State University, with versions of the PV in three different languages.
