Navigating the Web
- External sites are
not linked back to these courses, so you will either have to use
"back" or "previous" button on your browser to return. If
that does not work, and you lose your place, you can always go back
to my homepage at novaonline.nvcc.edu/eli/evans/default.htm.
-
As you browse the pages to which you have
been linked, you will find many other sites related to the one you have visited.
It is a good idea to first check them by using the "text version" whenever
possible, since loading graphics can take a long time. (You can turn
off the "Auto Load Images" feature of your browser. In Netscape, the
command is in the "Options" menu; in Explorer, the "Show Pictures" option
is in the "Options" under "View.") Once you have decided that you like
a site, click on "graphics version" or some similar direction and you will
be able to see the full-blown page.
-
If you discover sites which you find especially
interesting and which might prove useful in this course, please
e-mail the addresses to me. I
will place links on the appropriate course pages.
-
Please note that web sites and addresses
are always changing, if you find that any of the links in this course are
no longer working, please e-mail me
so that I can remove that link.
-

Evaluating Web resources
There are a variety of good www sites that provide a handy
set of questions that you should keep in mind when you examine any www
