This course contains a conference, which is a a public forum open to any student taking the course. To enter the conference, first register for the conference by completing the User Registration box which appears on the screen when you click on the conference link. The self-registration box has four items to complete (See Figure 1 below):

Full Name: type in your name as you want it to appear in your messages.
E-mail (optional): enter your e-mail address if want the instructor or other students in the conference to contact you privately via e-mail.
Username: enter a combination of letters or numbers (4-10 characters recommended) which you will use (and can remember!) to enter the conference.
Password: select a password of from 4-8 characters which you will use to enter the conference.
Note: Click inside one of the box fields to begin entering information; click the OK button to send the entered information for processing.
To enter the conference, you will
be prompted to log in with a User Login box (see Figure 2 below):

Once you have logged in to the conference, click on the “Help with Using Allaire Forums” link at the top of the page for additional information for how to use the conference. The instructor(s) will create forums and discussion topics within the conference; possible forums may include Announcements, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), Question & Answer forums, or other forums based on instructor preference, student need and demand.

I can't find my course assignments! How do I find them? |
Your course assignments may be in a 'hidden' message thread. The course conference displays inactive message threads only for a set period of time, after which they are 'hidden' but still accessible. In the example conference (see Figure 3 below), message threads are set to display acitve threads for the past 14 days (circled in yellow) only.

To change the display settings, click on the Options button on the menu bar (see Figure 4 below);

then, click on the Listed Threads option
button, select "90 days" or 365 days" (preferred), then click the OK button
(see Figure 5 below).

You should now be able to see all of the message threads in your course (see Figure 6 and compare with Figure 3).
