Week 1 -- INTRODUCTORY LETTER AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT CYCLE --  Detailed Assignment Instructions
Introductory Letter   Purpose:  to introduce yourself, so that your instructor can get to know you individually.

Grading:  This letter is simply a means for me to get to know you. It does not count toward your final grade.

Directions:  Write a one-page letter, including the following:

      1. Your background (if you are a full-time student, your program and year; if you work, the kind of work you do.)
      2.  
      3. Career plans or goals that relate to this course, if any.
      4.  
      5. Why you enrolled in this course, and what you hope to accomplish with it.
      6.  
      7. Make a statement about yourself that will help your instructor remember you from among the many other students in the course. (The statement should focus on what is unique about you.)

      9. Write a cover page with the following information.

      11. You should email your letter to PWorthington@nvcc.edu In the subject section type IST 153 – Intro Letter and Your Name. Send the letter as an attachment. Use either your personal email account or your college email account.       12. Remember to keep a copy of everything you send. Wait one week before calling to see if I received your assignment.
