Welcome to IST
153! The first thing you should do is read the following:
The Welcome Letter.
The Syllabus,
which gives you an overview of the course as well as general
course information.
The Assignments,
which are listed on the Syllabus. Here, you will find all the detailed
information about the assignments, tests, etc. It also presents a suggested
schedule for you to follow to complete the course.
Note: to read the graphics
on the assignments pages, you will need to use Netscape 4.0 or higher,
or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. If you don't have one
of these web browsers loaded on your computer, you can download one of
them from one of these links:

The schedule is divided into 16 weeks
to help you organize your time. There are no due dates for assignments
and exams except for the following:
At least one assignment and/or exam
must be completed by your Last Withdrawal Date. If not, you will automatically
receive a W.
All assignments and exams must be
completed by your End of Enrollment Date. However, you may request an extension
if you have completed 50% of the work by your end of enrollment date. You
must send me that request in writing. You can send a letter to me at ELI
