Memory is often thought of as recall; however, to the psychologist, memory is any indication that some experience has been learned. As a result of a complicated encoding and storage process, information can be retrieved. The outcomes of tests of recognition, recall and of relearning of past information suggest that the method used in the retrieval process influences our memories. |
This project will involve the introductory psychology student in an active examination of two methods of memory retrieval: recall and recognition. |
