Work in this course will require your participation in a variety of ways.  First, the course is writing intensive with assignments ranging from short paragraphs to longer, more formal multi-page papers. You will submit electronic assignments as described under each class homework assignment.  Second, you will develop a Portfolio in which you relate course content to your field experiences.  Third, you will have a mid-term and final proctored assessment, both of which will be Open Book. Last, you will have an evaluation from the classroom teacher supervising your field placement.

In order to successfully complete this course, you must demonstrate your understanding of the course materials through:

• Internet research and web-site analyses
• Canvas activities
• Audio-visual materials
• Supervised field placement in a K-12 setting
• Reflective and analytical writings
