Course Description:

MTH 266 - Linear Algebra covers matrices, vector spaces, determinants, solutions of systems of linear equations, basis and dimension, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors. The general purpose is to give you, the student, a solid grasp of the methods and applications of linear algebra, and to prepare you for further coursework in mathematics, engineering, computer science and the sciences.

Prerequisites:

The following are required for entry into this course:

• completion of MTH 263 or equivalent with a grade of B or better or MTH 264 or equivalent with a grade of C or better
• the ability to read a math textbook
• excellent study habits
• mathematical maturity and problem-solving aptitude
