In order to successfully complete this course, you must demonstrate your understanding of the course materials.

Here is an overview of the different types of assignments in this course. Detailed instructions and grading rubrics are available in the module where each assignment is assigned.

Introduction

The Introduction Discussion provides an opportunity for you to introduce yourself to your classmates and instructor. This activity helps establish a sense of community in the online learning environment.

Module 0 Assignments

Module 0 includes two assignments designed to help you become familiar with the course structure, tools, and expectations before beginning the academic content.

Chapter Quizzes (10 total)

Chapter quizzes assess your understanding of the key concepts from each chapter. Questions are brief and may include formats such as true/false and other objective question types.

Chapter Tests (10 total)

Chapter tests provide a more in-depth assessment of your knowledge of the material covered in each chapter.

Project (Apply or reinforce your skills, 37 total)

The course project is designed to help you apply and reinforce your skills by working through a comprehensive, hands-on accounting scenario. You will work with a single company throughout the course, progressing from building a Chart of Accounts to generating complete financial statements.

eLab Exams (Exam 1 & 2)

Exam 1 and Exam 2 assess your knowledge of material covered across multiple chapters. These exams include more detailed and technical questions and focus on the use and functionality of QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Final Exam

The final exam is a comprehensive assessment of the course content covered throughout the semester. It does not include material from Module 0.
