In this course, you will learn about: This course presents the evolution, philosophy, structures and processes of the American juvenile justice and delinquency systems. The course surveys the right of juveniles, dispositional alternatives, rehabilitation methods, and current trends in the juvenile justice system. This class will provide you with an overview of the juvenile offender, the types of violations committed by them, reasons for their misbehavior, and how our juvenile legal system works to rehabilitate the offender.

Prerequisite:

Although there are no prerequisites for entry into this course, it is highly recommended that you be enrolled in the Administration of Justice program. This course is also useful if you are a Sociology major.
