In order to successfully complete this course, you must demonstrate your understanding of the course materials by:

• participating actively in online discussions,
• submitting all of the assignments,
• completing the course project,
• earning a combined average of at least 60% on the proctored assessments.

Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find detailed directions for the assignments and the grading rubrics in the module where they are assigned.

Discussions and Assignments

The discussions and assignments address crucial concepts in each module. You will apply what you learned to real-world cases or reflect on critical ideas via hands-on activities.

Course Project

Your project is to create a biotechnology product and outline the quality system that you would put in place to make your biotechnology product. Although this project is due at the end of the course, it is a project you have to work on throughout the semester. In every module, you will need to work on a stage of the project. At each stage, you will share your project with the class to receive diverse viewpoints and feedback from your classmates. This project is divided into four stages:

• Stage 1 – Biotech Product,
• Stage 2 – Product Regulation,
• Stage 3 – Product Development,
• Stage 4 - Final Deliverable.

Proctored Assessments

There are two exams in the course. You are required to take the exams in a proctored environment. You can find the information on how to take a proctored assessment in the Taking Proctored Assessments section of the Syllabus.
