In order to successfully complete this course, students must demonstrate their understanding of the course materials by completing the following assignments:

Introduction Discussion

The introduction discussion is to open the line for communication in the online class. Students will introduce themselves to the class and welcome each other in the course.

Chapter Quizzes

These are graded quizzes related to each chapter’s content. Each quiz contains true or false questions.

Proctored Assessments

There are two proctored assessments in this course. Each assessment will be related to the chapter content and contain multiple choice questions. Study guides are provided in the course. There will be a time limit of two (2) hours placed on the completion of the proctored assessments.

Discussions

There are four graded discussions plus a reflection discussion which is extra credit. The four graded discussions require students to consider the boundaries of ethical issues related to real-world situations. There is no right or wrong answer(s) to the discussion questions. Students are merely required to apply the concepts learned to real-life examples.

Ethical Term Assignments

There are two ethical term assignments. They require students to research about 30 ethical terms for each assignment. These assignments can familiarize students with the words people use in the profession and deepen their understanding of the ethical terms.

Final Project

Students will apply their ethical knowledge to examine a real-world case and write a 5-8 page paper (1500-2300 words) discussing different levels of social responsibility, ethical dilemma, and the course of action you would recommend. APA Style must be followed.
