Course Description

Applies strategies and principles of public address with a focus on preparation and methods of delivery. Emphasis on ethically and respectfully communicating with diverse audiences through discussions, messaging and feedback. The assignments in the course require identifying and utilizing credible sources (APA/MLA) and speech aids for the creation of written and spoken communication presentations. Students will understand and address speech anxiety through the development of various speech projects and reflective writing.

General Course Purpose

CST 100 provides guided experiential training through selecting, organizing, adapting, practicing, and presenting ideas in a variety of public speaking situations.
