Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find detailed directions for the assignments and the grading rubrics in the module where they are assigned.

MindTap Homework Assignments

The MindTap activities are tied directly to each chapter in the eBook. These MindTap activities include problems sets that will allow you to hone your abilities to connect the concepts learned to solve problems using interactive graphing tools. Each chapter will have a graded problem set (except for chapter 6). You will get three attempts for each problem. MindTap will use your highest score on each question to calculate your grade on a Homework assignment.

Introduction Post

The introduction post will help you get to know students in the class with whom you will be working and learning over the semester.

Discussion Posts

The discussion board activities will generally involve reading the eBook or an online article (or both) and then applying some key concepts to understanding how Economics is relevant to the societies we live in. After explaining your own perspective, you will get a chance to read about the perspectives of your peers, and engage with their understanding of these concepts.

Practice Quizzes

There are five practice quizzes in this course: one for each Module. These quizzes are optional and do not count towards your grade in this course. The questions in the Practice Quizzes are designed to prepare you for the graded quizzes and exams. The quizzes each contain 30-50 questions evenly distributed between the chapters covered in that Module. You have unlimited opportunities to take the Practice Quizzes.
