In this course, you will learn about: Provides K - 12 classroom teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to fulfill the Commonwealth of Virginia's Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel. Certification is dependent on the supervisor's or employer's approval.
The purpose of this course is to enhance instruction and prepare teachers to create engaging learning environments using technology and media. Activities are designed to fulfill the Commonwealth of Virginia's Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel and the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers.
Pre-requisite of ITE 115 or instruction approval. Students must have basic knowledge about the operation of a computer, file management, and software installation and management of browser plug-ins. Additionally, students must be proficient in launching applications; managing program windows; finding, copying, moving, saving, deleting and uploading files; and using Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
