Engineering graphics is the language that is used universally by engineers to describe the size and shape of structures and mechanisms. This course is designed to help the student understand and use that language. You will develop skills in manual graphics (lettering and sketching) using the proper drawing instruments; and create working drawings. You will learn how computers are used to assist in the solution of engineering problems and you will use computer-aided-design (CAD) software for course exercises.

Prerequisite:

Entry Level Competencies: Proficiency in plane Euclidian plane geometry, acquired in high school. Since this course is taught in part over the World Wide Web, you should also be familiar with how to use a standard Web browser (Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer) and electronic mail.
