Discussion and Social Annotation Activities

The discussion and social annotation activities provide you with an opportunity collaborate with your classmates and to deeply reflect on the readings assigned to each module and apply them to a problem. They can prepare you for the projects and the proctored exams. Online discussion allows time to weave your thoughts and reflect on the readings and your experiences. All of the posts on the discussion board are required to be thoughtful, reflective, and concise.

Quizzes

Quizzes allow you to review MLA formatting and other technical writing conventions that you will apply to your writing.

Short Writing Assignments

The short writing assignments will help you apply and communicate what you have learned in class and prepare you for writing the Final Technical Report.

Group Activity

The group activity will help you apply what you have learned in class while working with your peers in a collaborative learning experience.

Proctored Assessments

The proctored Assessments provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of the course knowledge. You can find more information on how to take proctored assessments in the Proctored Assessments Module in the course.

Final Technical Report

This cumulative final writing activity will allow you to synthesize and apply all you have learned in the course and demonstrate your technical writing skills.
