Textbook and Materials

There is no required text you must purchase for this course. All of the reading and viewing material in this class is available online.

Other Technologies and Materials

You will be required to post most of your class assignments online. Therefore, you must have access to a computer and the ability to access and use the following materials:

A simple text editor such as Notepad or Wordpad (available with Windows operating systems);
The World Wide Web through an on-campus connection or your own Internet Service Provider;
Your VCCS email account;
A web browser such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Chrome. These are available for free download.

You may, if you wish, use on-campus computers to access the course materials and submit your assignments. For the social networks we'll be using (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+) you may wish to download free mobile apps for your own phone. This is totally optional.
