In this course, you will examine the diversity and depth of the human experience through literature across a variety of cultures and traditions. ENG 255 introduces traditions and works of multiple genres within world literature, including both canonical authors and those who are lesser known to highlight the diverse voices available. This course develops skills in close reading, critical thinking, interpretation, and comparative analysis of literary texts from around the world in their historical, cultural, social, and/or literary contexts. This is a UCGS transfer course. (3 credits)
