This course introduces traditions in literature by women writers through evaluating, interpreting, and using information, ideas, and arguments from a variety of perspectives. In this course, you will explore how women's identities and experiences shape their literary contributions, and their lives. You will develop skills of close reading and literary analysis through exploration of the ways literary texts reflect and challenge cultural values, beliefs, and understandings of gender identities, races, religions, ethnicities, classes, sexualities, and cultures.
