Incompletes

The incomplete grade is used for verifiable unavoidable reasons. If you have made significant progress in your course, your end date is near, and you have reasons that can be documented as unavoidable, you may request a grade of Incomplete. To request a grade of Incomplete for this course, you must:

• Have satisfactorily completed [VCCS policy specifies it must be more than 60%] of the assignments.
• Explain your extenuating circumstances to me in writing.
• Provide a plan for completing the remaining assignments in writing. All work must be completed by the end of the subsequent semester.
• The time you have to complete the course must be agreed upon with your instructor, but will be no more than one additional semester.

AI Use Policy and Academic Integrity for ENG 295 Students

This ENG 295 Proposal Writing course is an opportunity for you to test out ideas and demonstrate that your writing reflects course concepts in preparation of real-world proposal writing opportunities.

• To ensure academic integrity in each assignment, note that students are not allowed to use any outside support without explicit permission from the professor of the course. Outside support includes getting writing help/assistance, purchasing written content from the web, or using Artificial Intelligence (AI) software.
• The use of AI is currently prohibited by government entities and by many private corporations that issue RFP's and award contracting work.  While there may be a use for AI eventually, in some small specific ways, this course requires you to produce work without assistance, in accordance with currently accepted industry practices.
