HIM 260 is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the clinical pharmacology. Emphasis is placed on concepts of drug actions and adverse effects of the drugs. This course will review normal anatomy and physiology of a body system and diseases common to that body system. HIM 260 will cover the pharmacological therapies for the diseases related to body systems.

Purpose

The purpose of HIM 260 is to educate students about the basics of pharmacology. Emphasis is placed on knowledge of the major drug groups which includes the drug use, dose, adverse drug reactions, and side effects that are pertinent to physiological and biochemical changes occurring during the disease and recovery state.
