In order to successfully complete this course, you must demonstrate your understanding of the course materials by reading, watching, participating, and completeing all of the course materials and assignments listed in your Modules and Course Summary.

Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find the detailed directions for the assignments and the grading rubrics in the module where they are assigned.

Homework Activities

Through a series of discussions and homework activities, you will learn how to research and write a paper.

Final Paper

The final paper is the culmination of the what the entire course has been building to. Not only will you deliver your research, but you will employ the skills that you have built throughout the assignments.

Quizzes

The quizzes are to help you monitor your memory of the facts learned in each chapter. These questions will help check if the basic factual information of the Lesson has been absorbed. It is not all inclusive, and not all important concepts or facts will appear in the quiz. Nonetheless consistently poor performance on these quizzes is an early warning that the information has not been learned.

Proctored Assessments

The proctored assessments provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of the course knowledge and skill in comparison. You can find the information on how to take proctored assessments in the Taking Proctored Assessments section of the Syllabus.
