(Assignments would include 3 exams, 1 paper, and 5 discussions. 3 exams 60 %, 1 paper/project/book review 20 % (topic 2.5%, outline 2.5%, draft 5%, final 10%), and discussions 20 %. Study guides with potential essays will be offered as will discussion topics that deal with key themes of Civil War/Reconstruction history. Students will write a paper/project.book review on a topic of their choice dealing with any aspect of the Civil War or Reconstruction (including events leading to war).)
Your final grade will be based on the following scale. Please note that you must also pass at least 2 of the 3 exams in order to pass the course, regardless of your scores on the other assignments.
