Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find the detailed directions for the assignments and grading rubrics in the module where they are assigned.
The discussion activities provide you with an opportunity to deeply reflect on the readings assigned to each module and apply them to a problem. Online discussion allows time to weave your thoughts and reflect on the readings and your experiences. All of the posts on the discussion board are required to be thoughtful, reflective, and concise.
The written assignments provide the opportunity to use critical thinking. They will help you apply and communicate what you have learned in class.
Quizzes test your knowledge and help prepare you for the course and proctored assessments.
The Behavior Change Plan will be an ongoing project throughout the course. You will create a Behavior Change Plan for your chosen health behavior (select one of the three behaviors: time/stress management OR nutrition OR fitness). You will follow the plan for three weeks and then assess your progress, make any needed changes, and continue for another three weeks. At the end of the course you will assess your progress for the entire time.
The proctored assessments provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of the course knowledge. You can find the information on how to take proctored assessments in the Taking Proctored Assessments section of the Syllabus.
