Course Project

The project requires you to identify, exploit, and analyze vulnerabilities within a controlled environment. You will conduct a thorough analysis of a network vulnerability, demonstrating an understanding of the methodologies used by attackers, the risks posed by vulnerabilities, and the implementation of effective mitigation strategies. This project will help enhance your technical skills in vulnerability research, exploitation, risk assessment, and the development of security recommendations.

Major Assessments (2 exams)

The midterm and final exams are the major assessments in the course. You have to take them in a proctored environment. They provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of the course content.

Final Course Grade

In order to maintain compliance with our accreditation standards, NOVA Online major assessments require identity verification. Proctored or major assessments must prove identity, and students must show overall passing levels on those assessments in order to pass the course.

In this online course, if your average score on the two major assessments is a passing percentage of 60 percent or higher, then your grade will be calculated according to the scale in the table below. Otherwise, a final grade of F will be assigned.
