Sales Presentation

Presentation Specifics

Visual aids (vu graphs, power point, etc.) are required and must be sent to me 1 week prior to the presentation.

Be sure to begin your written and oral presentaion with a set up of the situation - who you represent and what you are selling, to whom you are selling.

Tips: As you prepare think about the following: how can you get your audience's attention and hold their interest? If you start off your presentation with a boring recitation of your company's history, and follow up with a list of product features, you will most likely put everyone to sleep! What is it important for the audience to know about your product or service? What are the key points or messages which you are trying to convey?

The secret to a successful presentation is PREPARATION! Be sure to practice your presentation in front of a mirror or a friend to make sure that it makes sense and fits into the required time limit.

Proctored Assessments

There are two proctored assessments in this course. Each one is based on a set of chapters: the Midterm Exam covers Chapters 1-7 and the Final Exam covers Chapters 8 -14. Both assessments will be closed book and multiple choice with a few short answer questions. You do not need a Scantron form or any other outside materials for either assessment. You will have three hours in which to complete each assessment.

See Taking Proctored Assessments section of the Syllabus for information about taking the assessments.
