Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find the detailed directions for the assignments and the grading parameters in the module where they are assigned.
Note: Unless otherwise stated, for assignments that allow for multiple submissions or attempts, only the last submission or attempt will be graded.
You will get 3 tries on each problem except for vocab questions which are 1 attempt only. If you are unable to come up with the answer after 3 tries, the answer will show and you can "Try a similar problem" and still get full credit on the exercises. If you can't figure out how they came up with the answer, ask by posting your question in the "Ask the Instructor" discussion forum in Canvas. Note that everyone gets slightly different versions of the exercises, so someone else's #3 might not look quite the same as yours.
The quizzes should be taken after you've done the homework. The quizzes are timed (1 hour), and there is not a "try similar problem" option. You will, however, get two attempts. You may consider this an "open-book" quiz, however, you may not work with a classmate or anyone else. The work you submit should be your own. Please keep a written record of your work.
Each unit has a discission for you to further your inquiry into the topic. Discussions for Units 1 and 3 require you to reply to and interact with your classmates.
There are two projects. Projects are where you will apply your knowledge. Each project is broken into multiple parts. It is important that you look at the feedback on the parts before processing to the next part.
