This is an OER (Open Educational Resources) course. You are NOT REQUIRED TO BUY ANY BOOK for this course. We will be using a web-based textbook Между нами (“Between Us”) that is available online, free of charge, so make sure you:

• bookmark this web page https://mezhdunami.org/. You will be constantly referred throughout the semester (watch a short video at https://mezhdunami.org/intro_website.shtml to learn more about our course);

• Download the PDF file of our Workbook (PDF):Workbook Lessons 6-9 and save it on your computer – you may go ahead and print out workbook pages right away, that we will be using for this semester, but you may do this a bit later.

In addition, you will need to have the following:

• reliable access to the Internet;
• a headset or earphones with a mic to be able to participate in our weekly sessions and complete oral/listening assignments (regular Apple earphones will work perfectly!);
• the Russian keyboard installed on your computer – You will learn how to do this in the “Getting Started – The Russian Keyboard Installation” in the Modules section in your Canvas course site.
• Russian keyboard stickers (optional); you can either purchase them or make your own - they will be helpful in learning to type in Russian;
• occasional access to a printer to have assigned workbook pages printed out;
• a pen or a pencil to complete our workbook exercises.
