All students MUST pass the first lab practical in order to proceed to live animal anesthesia. This lab practical will be performed at the first on-campus lab. If you do not pass the first lab practical, you will be allowed one retake that must be taken within 7 - 14 days of the initial failed practical. If you do not pass the retake, you will not pass the course. You have the option to withdrawal, or you will receive a failing grade for the course.
*Students must demonstrate proficiency in both the lecture and lab portions of the course with a 75% or better to pass the class*. It will also be necessary to complete the course-specific skills in addition to passing the lecture and lab portions of this course to complete the course.
Program Online students will document their skills via a video. See VIDEO REQUIREMENTS in the appropriate Canvas module. You must digitally video record yourself taking one animal patient from the preanesthetic period through induction and recovery.
