The MindTap activities are tied directly to each chapter in the eBook. These MindTap activities include problems sets that will allow you to hone your abilities to connect the concepts learned to solve problems using interactive graphing tools. Each chapter will have a graded problem set (except for chapter 6). You will get three attempts for each problem. MindTap will use your highest score on each question to calculate your grade on a Homework assignment.

The Discussion Board activities will generally involve reading the eBook or an online article (or both) and then applying some key concepts to understanding how Economics is relevant to the societies we live in. After explaining your own perspective, you will get a chance to read about the perspectives of your peers, and engage with their understanding of these concepts.
There are five quizzes in this course; one for each Module. The quizzes are designed to assess your understanding of the Module’s material and as a preview of the types of questions you will encounter on the exams. All quizzes are multiple choice and must be completed inside of Canvas.
There are two proctored exams in this course.Exams 1 and 2 must be completed in a proctored environment using Canvas. These exams are comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions, and are worth 250 points each. Each exam has a 90-minute time limit. For both exams, you may use ONLY a handheld, non-programmable calculator without Internet access and scrap paper. Please find the information on how to take proctored exams in the section below.

They are worth 100 points each, and there is a time limit. For both proctored exams, you may use ONLY a handheld, non-programmable calculator without Internet access and scrap paper. The Mindtap exam will be taken online at home. You WILL NOT take this at the Testing Center. The exam covers the full set of material for the entire course. You will be given guidance on what will be on the exam. For the Final exam, you will have a time limit and you only have one attempt at answering the questions.
