MindTap Homework Assignments

These MindTap activities include problems sets that will allow you to hone your abilities to connect the concepts learned to solve problems in an interactive graphical mode. Each chapter will have graded problem sets. You will be able to try each problem in the set up to three times before your work is graded. The other graded MindTap activity will periodically involve reading an online news article and answering a few multiple-choice questions about the article. You will also be asked to discuss questions related to the news articles with your classmates.

Discussion Activities

The Discussion Board activities will generally involve reading the textbook and then applying the learned concepts to your own life and the society we live in. After explaining your own perspective, you will view others' and contribute to their understanding.

There will be three exams in this course - two proctored and one at home through MindTap.

Exams 1 and 2 must be taken in a proctored environment. These proctored exams may be multiple choice, short-answer, or essay questions, or some combination. The Mindtap exam will be taken online at home. You WILL NOT take this at the Testing Center. The exam covers the full set of material for the entire course.
