In order to successfully complete this course, students must demonstrate their understanding of the course materials by completing the following assignments:

Quizzes

The quizzes can help students monitor their understanding of the concepts covered in the textbook. Each quiz contains multiple choice questions.

Projects

Students will apply their knowledge to examine real-world problems and perform some additional analysis. The first project requires the students to evaluate three methods of financing under a given set of circumstances. The second project allows students to review the social security benefits for a couple in four claiming scenarios. After analyzing the situations, students should find the optimal social security claiming decision for the couple.

There are two proctored assessments in this course that must be taken in a proctored environment. Each proctored assessment will be related to the chapter content and consist of short answer questions. Practice quizzes are provided to help you prepare for the proctored assessments. There will be a time limit of two (2) hours placed on the completion of the proctored assessments. Please find the information on how to take a proctored assessment in the Taking Proctored Assessments section below.
