In order to successfully complete this course, you must demonstrate your understanding of the course materials by:
- Completing the assignments in each Module (reading/reviewing provided learning materials: readings, videos, PowerPoint lectures, websites, etc.)
- Passing the proctored assessments and homework/quizzes
- Participating actively in the discussion activities
Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find the detailed directions for the assignments and the grading rubrics in the module where they are assigned.
- Assignments (10%):
These assignments are designed to allow you to apply the knowledge you’ve learned in class. Details for these assignments will be included in the Modules.
- Discussions (10%):
Discussion with your classmates is a vital part of learning. These discussions are a required part of the course. Most will require a mid-Module initial post and replies to classmates before the end of the Module.
- Quizzes (20%):
These are quizzes/homework assignments to be completed after each class topic. The quizzes are based on the PowerPoints and the readings, and are intended to re-enforce concepts from the book. Be sure to complete the readings.
- Attendance (10%): You will only be able to succeed in class if you are present.
- Proctored Assessments (60%):
Exams (3) will be multiple choice, matching, true/false, short answer and short essay.
