In order to successfully complete this course, you must demonstrate your understanding of the course materials by:

• Log in to Canvas everyday
• Completing the assignments in each module, which includes readings, quizzes and written assignments
• Completing the Achieve Learning practices and quizzes
• Completing the research project and the group project
• Passing the proctored assessments
• Participating actively in the discussion board activities

Here is an overview of all of the different types of assignments in the course. You can find detailed directions for the assignments and the grading criteria in the module where they are assigned.

Research Project

This project gives you a chance to reinforce and expand concepts learned in class, through your own individual research and to connect with each other.

Group Work Project

This project allows you to do some group work, connect with each other, and share resources and ideas.

Quizzes

There are chapter quizzes in each module. They can prepare you for the proctored assessments.

Discussion Board Activities

The discussion board activities provide you with an opportunity to deeply reflect on the readings assigned to each module and apply them to a problem. They can prepare you for the quizzes and the proctored assessments. Online discussion allows time to weave your thoughts and reflect on the readings and your experiences. All of the posts on the discussion board are required to be thoughtful, reflective, and concise.

Proctored Assessments

There are five (5) proctored assessments. You must earn 60% combined on the proctored assessments in order to pass the course. The proctored assessments provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of the course knowledge.
