- Identify the appropriate contract administration functions and the applicable roles and responsibilities.
- Differentiate the appropriate quality assurance approaches of inspection and acceptance, including delivery terms and applicable types of warranties.
- Identify the types of contact modifications, change orders and equitable adjustments and when they are applicable.
- Identify the various types of contracting financing payments and when they are appropriate.
- Identify the appropriate contract disputes and appeals and apply them accordingly.
- Conduct contract close out procedures.
- Differentiate and execute the appropriate termination or cancellation procedures.
- Determine the appropriate level of contract closeout and record retention policies.
- Examine the general categories of contracting such as: patents, data rights, copyrights, surety bonds, insurance, taxes, cost accounting standards, cost principles, and value engineering.
- Examine the special categories of contracting such as: Contingency and Emergency Acquisition, Major System Acquisition, Research and Development Contracting, Construction and Architect-Engineering Contracts, Services Contracting, Federal Supply Schedule Contracting, Acquisition of Information Technology, Acquisition of Utility Services.
