The assignments that will contribute to the final grade in the course are indicated on the Class Schedule.
Major grades consisting of the following items will be averaged together to determine your final grade for the course.
Field Placement
Students must be able to pass a background check in order to complete the field placement. Students may not place themselves in a school or approach a school to request a field placement. Students must work with our Field Placement Coordinator, Stephanie Maldonado - smaldonado@nvcc.edu. In EDU 204, students must spend 20 hours in a public Title I school or with an ESOL teacher. Students who do not follow the required field placement process or who do not receive a positive evaluation on the field placement will not pass the course.
The student must earn a combined average of at least 60% on the Field Placement activities and have an overall course average of 60% to pass the class.
