Extra Credit

Study Groups

You can earn 20 points for being the organizer and convener of your study group of three or more students.Write summaries of the content including a list of attendees for all study group sessions in Le Cafe in Discussions. These summaries are essential for credit to be awarded.

If you are a participant in a study group, you can earn 10 points for regular attendance. Write summaries of what you learn during study group sessions in Le Cafe in Discussions. Let the instructor know if you'd like Worksheets to do during the study group sessions. You can also invite the instructor for a group exam review in Google Hangout.

Online Meeting Participation

You can earn up to 10 extra points by attending the optional online meetings.

NOVA Online proctored or major assessments are required to maintain compliance with our accreditation standards and the Higher Education Act’s identity verification requirements for online courses. College-wide, proctored or major assessments must prove identity. To accomplish this in online courses, students must show overall passing levels on the proctored or major assessments in order to pass the course.

In this online course, if your average score on all proctored or major assessments is a passing percentage of 60 percent or higher, then your grade will be calculated according to the scale in the table below. Otherwise, a final grade of F will be assigned.
