Canvas Course Activities

The course site activities provide you with an opportunity to reflect on the grammatical, cultural and interpersonal assignments in each module in the course and on Supersite.  They will also prepare you for the quizzes in each lesson and the proctored assessments.  Our online class meetings will give you the opportunity to meet with your instructor and classmates synchronously to practice interpersonal communication skills.  Finally, there will be a Cultural Reflection Activity in each lesson where you will interact with classmates via written language.  These written responses on the Cultural Reflection Activities are required to be thoughtful, reflective, and concise.

There are quizzes for each lesson. They can prepare you for the proctored assessments.

Proctored Assessments and Oral Exams

There are 3 proctored assessments in this course.  Each proctored assessments will contain sections that test interactive skills, listening comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and cultural awareness. The proctored assessments will be worth 100 points each. You will have a two-hour time limit for each proctored assessments.

You will have have 3 oral exams.  They are not proctored, so you can take them in a quiet place from home or anywhere you choose to do so.
