This activity is designed to respond to 2-3 questions about cultural aspects of Japan and Japanese people in the “ Discussions” and discuss matters with your classmates. We will be viewing various resources such as You tube videos, a movie clip, and other materials available on line.
You will read assigned pages explaining grammar points in the textbook. After that you are required to see and learn from my presentation about grammar structure and examples showing how to use them.
You will complete certain pages assigned in the Workbook Activities in the Student Activities Manual. Workbook Exercises include grammar, writing and reading practices. You might have to scan and submit the pages or type in Japanese in Word document depending on the exercises. Submit only assigned homework unless you make an arrangement with your instructor in advance.
You will practice certain vocabularies in the chapter. You will have to complete assigned exercises in the Lab Activities in the Student Activities Manual which are primarily listening practice required to listen to sound files. The last part of the exercises will be a speaking practice. You will actually record your own speech in Japanese. I will have you answer a simple question or have you ask me questions in Japanese based on the context. If you have conversational activities with your partner, you have to record your conversation and submit your sound files to me.
